Suspended official booked in disproportionate assets case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a disproportionate assets case against Kudikala Shankar Kumar, Revenue Divisional Officer, Peddapalli, who was also holding full additional charge as the Commissioner of Ramagundam Municipal Corporation, (presently under suspension).

Shankar was arrested and sent to judicial custody in a bribery-trap case by the ACB in November last year, ACB sources said. He has been accused of acquiring assets by indulging in “unlawful practices” and “dubious means” during his service.

The ACB sleuths, during their searches, found that Shankar allegedly acquired movable and immovable assets worth ₹ 92,60,372 disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Further verification of additional assets is underway, an ACB press release said.

The case is under investigation.
