A man and a woman have been charged with firearms offences after police seized two guns in south Liverpool.
Police recovered a handgun from a property on Lee Park Avenue in Belle Vale and a revolver which was buried in a communal garden nearby.
The force was acting on information suggesting firearms were being stored in the area.
Two people were arrested at the scene during the raid yesterday.
Today police said Nathan Kelly, 27, of no fixed address and Zara Mohammed, 25, of Lee Park Avenue, had each been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

A police spokesman said: "Officers carried out a warrant at an address on Lee Park Avenue following reports a firearm was being stored.
"Officers seized a handgun from within the property and a revolver which was found buried in a communal the garden near to the address. A man and woman were arrested and taken to custody.
"27-year-old Nathan Kelly of no fixed abode and 25-year-old Zara Mohammed of Lee Park Avenue have now been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition."
They both appeared at Wirral Adult Remand Court today. Kelly has been remanded in custody and Mohammed released on conditional bail.
