Suspects named after man stabbed in head and stomach inside house

Police have named two suspects after a man was stabbed in the head and stomach.

Detectives investigating the stabbing, shortly before 4am on Monday, August 15 inside a property on Cambridge Road, Ellesmere Port, have charged two men. The victim, a 41-year-old man, was found inside a property with injuries to his head and stomach and was taken to Aintree Hospital.

Feld Williams, 31, of Countess Court, Bache, and Alexander Cooke, aged 29, of John Nicholas Crescent in Ellesmere Port, have been charged with section 18 wounding with intent. Both men are due to appear at Chester Magistrates court today.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the property on suspicion of wounding with intent but has since been released under investigation. Another two men, aged 30 and 36, were also arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and have since been released on conditional bail.

Police appealed to members of the public to come forward with information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist with the investigation. Detective Sergeant Graeme Carvell, of Ellesmere Port local policing unit, said: "We are continuing to piece together the timeline of the assault and are urging members of the public to contact us with information.

"I would also ask residents and nearby businesses to check CCTV footage and for motorists to check their dash cam. Any information you can provide – no matter how small – could be really useful to our investigation."
