Suspects named after city centre bar fight

Three men have been charged in connection with an assault at a city centre bar.

At around 10.40pm on Saturday (February 25), Merseyside Police were called to Manhattan Bar and Grill on Fenwick Street following reports of a fight between two groups of men. Three men were taken to hospital with one suffering serious facial injuries after being attacked at the bar.

One man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Three men were arrested and have now been charged. Two men, Mark Bleasedale, 34, of Bardsay Road, Walton and Luke Abrams, 23, of Belmont Road, New Brighton, have been charged with affray.

Owen Cotton, 23, of Berwick Close, Newsham Park has been charged with affray and three counts of section 18 wounding with intent. He remains in custody.

All three suspects will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Monday 27 February.
