
A 46-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a stabbing in Melbourne's CBD which left another man injured in hospital under armed guard.
Victoria Police said a fight broke out among a group of people on King Street, near the intersection of Bourke Street, just after 9:30pm on Saturday.
A 46-year-old man suffered stab injuries and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
About five hours later, police found an injured man at the base of a fire escape in a King Street hotel. It is believed he had fallen.
The man was taken to hospital under police guard.
Police said a 43-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were assisting with their inquiries.
Police believe all of the people involved know each other.
