A man was found with two schoolgirls in a car after being stopped by officers on Edge Lane.
Merseyside Police received a call from a concerned member of the public in the early hours of Thursday, July 14, and officers went to investigate. Police stopped a car on Edge Lane, which had two girls aged 17 and 15, inside.
The driver of the car, Mohammed Chaudry, 38, of Chester Road in Stretford, Greater Manchester, was arrested at the scene and taking into custody.

The man has now been charged with two counts sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, possession of controlled Class A and B drugs and drink driving.
Chaudry was remanded in custody and will appear in Liverpool Magistrates Remand Court on Saturday, July 15.
