Suspected murder victim named after three suspects are arrested

The man who was allegedly murdered in Wakefield earlier this week has been named as Aleksander Pawlak.

The 30-year-old from Wakefield died in Pinderfields Road, shortly after midnight on Monday, September 9.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene after receiving reports of a man suffering serious injuries, but Mr Pawlakwas was pronounced dead shortly after they arrived.

Three men were arrested on Monday in connection with this incident and they have been released pending further investigation.

West Yorkshire Police say 'enquiries remain ongoing'.
