A garda probe has been launched after suspected human remains were found on a road in south Dublin.
The grim discovery was made on Thursday evening on Lower Rathmines road.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Earlier today Thursday 9th April 2020, Gardaí were called to the scene following the discovery of suspected human remains at the Lower Rathmines Road.
"The suspected human remains are currently being technically examined.
"No further information is available at this time."
