Suspected gun incident sparks emergency response on Lanarkshire street

Emergency services raced to the scene of a suspected gun incident in Lanarkshire yesterday.

The drama unfolded at 4.05pm in Marnoch Drive, Glenboig when police received a report of someone with a firearm.

Pictures taken at the scene show an area sealed off and officers say their investigation is continuing, the Daily Record reports.

It remains unclear if anyone was injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance at the Marnoch Drive area of Glenboig following a report of an incident involving a firearm around 4.05pm on Saturday, 21 November, 2020.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
