A man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving with three children aged five, seven and eight in the car at the time.
The Peugeot Partner was spotted around 10.45am on Saturday, January 21 on the M6 motorway.
Following "intelligence" the car was stopped on the A49 and the driver spoken to before being asked to perform a drugs test.

The results of the drug wipe came back positive for cocaine and cannabis.
A 31-year-old man from Crosby was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
North West Motorway Police posting about the incident on their Facebook page said a relative was then contacted regarding the welfare of the children.
The man has since been released while investigations continue.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 10.45am on Sunday 21 January officers were made aware of a Peugeot Partner van driving on the M6 between junction 21A to 21B.
"The vehicle was stopped on the A49 and officers spoke with the occupants.
"A 31-year-old man from Crosby was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
"He has since been released under investigation."
