Suspected drug driver smashes into cars in terrifying crash on side street - watch

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after crashing into parked cars in a Lancashire side street.

Astonishing footage shared with LancsLive shows the driver travelling down the road in Preston at high speed.

He then crashes into a number of vehicles.

His injuries are not thought to be serious and nobody else was injured as a result of the incident.

The driver, who is 38-years-old, was arrested in the early hours of this morning (May 23) after crashing into parked vehicles in the Deepdale area of Preston.

Officers from Lancashire Police responded to the incident at around 5.20am.

The arrested man has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be serious.

A police spokesperson told  LancsLive : "One vehicle has stuck a number of parked vehicles.

"The driver has been taken to hospital but isn't believed to have any serious injuries.

"He is under arrested for drug driving and dangerous driving."

Officers are still at the scene, with the road remaining closed to traffic since around 5.40am.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
