A suspected drug driver was arrested after crashing into a lamppost on a busy road.
Merseyside Police were called to Croxteth Hall Lane, at the junction of Flint Drive, at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, August 17. Once at the scene, officers found a Peugeot 307 had crashed into a lamppost on the road.
The road was partially closed while officers attended the scene and the North West Ambulance Service checked over the man driving the vehicle. The ECHO understands the man was taken to hospital to be checked, but was not seriously injured in the incident.

Police have confirmed a 44-year-old man from Kirkdale was arrested on suspicion of drug driver and was taking into custody by officers.
The road reopened at around 5pm once the vehicle was recovered from the scene. Pictures from the scene after the crash shows the lamppost with significant damage and parts of the vehicle left behind.
