Suspected drink-driver caught with missing WHEEL

A suspected drink-driver was arrested after reportedly being caught in a car with just three wheels.

Police spotted the Peugeot being driven from Middleton to Oldham in the early hours of the morning on Friday. 'Sparks were flying' from the car that was missing a front wheel, officers said.

Police intercepted and stopped the driver, who then blew a reading of 123 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath while in custody. The legal drink-drive limit is 35.

The driver was then arrested. Police shared a photo of the car on Twitter.

The picture showed the front-driver side wheel completely missing a tyre. Alongside the photo, an officer wrote: "This Peugeot was seen on 3 wheels with sparks flying driving from Middleton to Oldham overnight.

"Intercepted by #XT28, the drink driver behind the wheel would go on to provide a reading of 123 in Custody, which is 3.5 times the legal limit. #fatal4 #nonefortheroad #arrested."
