Suspected drink-driver arrested after car crashes into garden in Trowbridge, Cardiff

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car crashed into a front garden wall in Cardiff early on Friday.

Police were called to a street in Trowbridge at 6.05am on December 27 and found a black BMW estate car had driven through a garden wall.

The car appeared to have mounted the pavement and ended up in someone's front garden. The driver, a local man from the area, was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.

Nobody was seriously injured in the incident which happened the morning after Boxing Day.

South Wales Police in Cardiff tweeted about the incident and added: "Don't drink and drive."
