Suspected drink driver arrested after car crashed onto roundabout

A suspected drink driver has been arrested after reportedly crashing onto a roundabout in Ballymena last night.

The car was discovered mounted on a roundabout near Fairhill Shopping Centre shortly before 10pm on Sunday night.

Police in Larne posted the image on Facebook to warn against drink driving.

"One of the reasons why we say never drink and drive," they said.

"One driver arrested. One new roundabout feature. Thankfully no one was hurt."

A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live a man, aged 45 was arrested and remains in custody at this time.
