Suspected dealer arrested after police seize dozens of pills in drugs raid

Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer after a drugs bust at a house in Bolton.

Officers from the Bolton West neighbourhood policing team raided a home on Oxford Grove, Halliwell, after being tipped off about some possible drug-related activity.

A search of the property saw the force seize 44 snap bags filled with a white powder that officers believe is amphetamine, 22 snap bags of cannabis, 90 strips of diazepam, and other controlled prescription drugs.

They also arrested a man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

The man remains in custody for questioning.

A picture of the drugs seized from the address was posted on the GMP Bolton West Facebook page.

An officer said: "Officers from Bolton West neighbourhood team have executed a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs act at a property on Oxford Grove in Halliwell.

"At this address we seized 44 Snap bags of white powder, believed to be Amphetamine, 22 Snap bags of cannabis bush, 90 Strips of diazepam, and a number of other controlled prescription drugs.

"A male was also arrested for possession with intent to supply and remains in custody awaiting interview.

"We couldn't do work like this without the information you the public provide - Thank you."
