Police have arrested a male driver on suspicion of vehicle theft on Greenfarm Road, Cardiff.
Police identified the stolen vehicle being driven at speed with the main headlights on.
South Wales Policing Unit caught up with one of the suspects after two men abandoned the car and fled on foot.
Police tweeted: "Car observed with main beam light on and driving at speed…whilst we were catching up, 2 males abandoned car & decamped on foot. Enquiries have revealed the vehicle was stolen minutes earlier."
In a separate incident South Wales Police arrested a suspected drink driver at Heol Trelai after they blew 45mg when officers breathalysed him at the roadside and 47mg in custody.
Police tweeted: "Legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, #ChargedToCourt #Team2East."
