Suspect named as Everton supporters' coach damaged after Newcastle match

A man has been charged with damaging an Everton supporters' coach.

John Thompson is accused of criminal damage outside St James' Park when Newcastle United faced Everton for a vital Premier League clash on Tuesday, February 8.

The 26-year-old, of Camperdown, North Tyneside, is due to appear in court on March 9.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "John Thompson, 26, of Camperdown, North Tyneside, has been charged with criminal damage. He is due to appear before magistrates in Newcastle on March 9."
