Police today named a scrambler bike rider suspected of causing the death of a woman in a crash in Huyton.
The 26-year-old pedestrian died after she was hit by the off-road bike on March 1.
Emergency services were called to Court Hey Road, in Huyton, and the woman was rushed to hospital, where she died four days later.
Merseyside Police has since confirmed the incident was being looked at by the Independent Office of Police Conduct as a police vehicle was present at the time of the incident.
Today a Merseyside Police spokesperson said a 28-year-old man from Walton had been charged in connection with the fatal collision.

The spokesperson said: "Merseyside Police can confirm that a 28-year-old man from Walton has been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision in Huyton earlier this month.
"At around 12.45pm on Monday 1 March, it was reported that an off road bike was in collision with a pedestrian. The pedestrian was treated for serious injuries at the scene, and taken to hospital for further treatment, where she sadly died.
"Following enquiries, 28-year-old Daniel King of Nimrod Street, Liverpool was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and causing death driving whilst disqualified. "

Police said King will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today.

After the ECHO broke the tragic news people took to Facebook and the website to pay their condolences to the woman and her family.
On Facebook, Jennifer Getty said: "I live on Court Hey Rd and haven't stopped thinking of this young lady since it happened, praying she pulled through. So so sad to read she has passed away. I'm so sorry this has happened. Condolences to her family and friends at this awful time. RIP XxxX"
