Suspect named after woman, 21, left with 'serious injuries' in attack

Merseyside police have confirmed they have charged a wanted man.

Lewis Dunn is accused of assaulting a woman and leaving her with serious injuries . A manhunt for the 27-year-old was launched by officers earlier this month, after police received reports of a 21-year-old woman being attacked.

Police launched a search, sharing Dunn's image saying he was wanted in connection with a domestic assault where a woman suffered "significant and extensive injuries." The attack happened on February 22.

He was remanded in custody and appeared in court this morning, on Thursday, March 17.
