A 22-year-old man was charged in connection with a fatal crash involving a car and a van just before Christmas last year.
Kelvin Davies appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court today (Thursday, December 31) after he was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The charge related to a crash on the A41 Chester Road, Ellesmere Port, on December 19 2019.
The smash involved a Volkswagen Cravelle van and a Toyota Cresta car.
Kieran Lloyd, 19, from Saltney, was a passenger in the car and sadly died at the scene.
A 40-year-old man from Great Sutton also suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Davies, of Irvings Crescent, Saltney, was released on bail and is set to appear at Chester Court on Thursday January 28 2021.
