A suspect has been named after a man was attacked and hit over the head after an alleged row outside a corner shop.
Police were called to Roughwood Drive, Kirkby, at around 2.30pm on Thursday, June 2, following reports of a man being found with a head injury in the street. Once officers arrived they found a man in his 30s and he was rushed to hospital.
It is believed the attack took place on Gilescroft/Jarrett Road following a reported altercation in a nearby shop on Roughwood Drive. The injured man has been released from hospital.

Today, Merseyside Police have charged a man following the incident. Michael Walker, 34, of Bigdale Drive, Kirkby, has been charged with possession of a bladed article and affray and bailed to appear in court on 19th July.
A 49 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson and assisting an offender and released under investigation. A 37 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and released on bail.
