Suspect named after a series of burglaries in one area

Detectives investigating a series of burglaries in Runcorn have named a suspect.

Officers have charged Liam Lingham in connection with the incidents including burglary and vehicle interference.

The 26-year-old, of Laburum Grove, Runcorn, was arrested yesterday after an investigation and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court today.

Lingham has been charged with three counts of burglary other than a dwelling, attempted burglary with intent to steal and vehicle interference.

The charges relate to five incidents between March 11 and June 27, this year, at Dalton Court, Victoria Road, Warrington Road and Mersey Road.

He has been remanded in police custody.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a series of burglaries in the Runcorn area have charged a man in relation to the incidents.

"Liam Lingham, of Laburnum Grove, Runcorn was arrested on Monday 20 September.

"The 26-year-old has since been charged with three counts of burglary other than a dwelling, attempted burglary with intent to steal and vehicle interference."
