Suspect in pregnant woman's murder arrested, then released

Ms Fraser was days away from giving birth when she went missing, police said.

A man has been arrested and questioned by police over the disappearance of Krystal Fraser, a 23-year-old woman from the Bendigo area with an intellectual disability who went missing in 2009.

Fraser was last seen in Pyramid Hill, north of Bendigo, on June 20, 2009, just days before she was due to give birth.

Police believe she was murdered but have not been able to find her body, despite offering a $100,000 reward for information about the case.

A Pyramid Hill man, aged 61, was interviewed by police today but was released pending further inquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
