Suspect in custody after Englewood shooting

A person was arrested after allegedly shooting a man in the leg Tuesday in Englewood on the South Side.

The 28-year-old was arguing with someone at 8:51 a.m. inside a home in the 2200 block of West 72nd Street when the male suspect pulled out a handgun and shot him in the left leg, according to Chicago police.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The suspect was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered, according to police.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
