Suspect in Colorado firebombing attack on Jewish gatherers pleads guilty to murder

  • Mohamed Soliman, a Colorado man, pleaded guilty to state murder charges for a fatal firebombing attack on Jewish marchers in Boulder.
  • The June 2025 attack targeted elderly activists advocating for Israeli hostages in Gaza, resulting in the death of 82-year-old Karen Diamond and injuries to a dozen others.
  • Soliman used a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails, disguised himself as a gardener, and shouted "Free Palestine!" during the assault.
  • He faces life in prison without parole for the state charges and still faces federal hate crime charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
  • Soliman, who was living in the U.S. illegally, reportedly told police he planned the attack for a year and intended to "kill all Zionist people."
