Suspect device found strapped to car in Coolock found to be 'non viable'

A suspect device found strapped to the side of a car in Coolock was found to be non viable.

Gardai and the army EOD team rushed to the scene at Greencastle Drive after the strange device reported.

The area was quickly sealed off and a controlled explosion was carried out.

It was later determined that the device was not explosive.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardai received report of a suspect device at approximately 9am this morning, 15/8/19, in the Greencastle Drive area of Coolock.

"The scene has now been reopened. The reported suspect device was found to be non viable."
