The man suspected of abducting tot Cleo Smith winked as he was led away onto a plane in handcuffs during his journey to a maximum security prison.
Terence Darrell Kelly, 36, appeared before a court on November 4 charged with forcibly taking a child under the age of 16.
He has been accused of abducting little Cleo in the early hours of October 16 from the Blowholes campsite in Carnarvon, Australia, where she was on holiday with her family, as reported by The Mirror.
She was found alive and well by officers after they carried out a raid on Kelly's house on November 3.
Kelly, donning handcuffs and with chains wrapped around his legs, was surrounded by police as he was put on board the plane bound for Perth where he will be kept in a high security prison until his next appearance in court in December.
Barefooted and wearing shorts, he seemed to wink at the cameras before heading up the stairs into the plane.

The moment that Kelly was arrested by police was filmed on Tuesday night in dashcam footage from a taxi.
The 36-year-old could be seen being pulled over by officers and pinned to the ground.
“The cops were chasing that car initially and they were all surrounding that car on the side of the curb and we saw one of the detectives on top of the guy, pinning him down,” a witness told 7NEWS.
About an hour after Kelly was arrested, Cleo was rescued from his locked home, it is reported.

Police forced their way into the building and found the little girl playing with toys.
“My name is Cleo,” she said when asked for her name.
Cameron Blaine one of the officers who helped rescue Cleo said she appeared to be in good spirits.
“I can only see her from the outside. But from that point of view, I’m amazed that she seems to be so well-adjusted and happy,” he said on Thursday, reported 7NEWS.

“It was really heartwarming to see that she’s still bubbly and she’s laughing. She’s falling asleep in her mother’s arms.
"There was one occasion where she asked if she could lay next to mum and have Ellie look at her while she fell asleep."
Kelly was being kept in a padded cell in Carnarvon after twice being taken to hospital after self harming.
He appeared in court on Thursday charged with forcibly taking a child under 16 but did not enter a plea.
