Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik, appeared again before the Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday for questioning in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
The agency has been interrogating Rhea for the past four days. The others summoned for recording their statements include Sushant’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, his housekeeping manager Samuel Miranda, and cook Neeraj Singh. Rhea’s father Indrajit has also been questioned.
The CBI is probing the case registered on a complaint from Sushant’s father K.K. Singh, alleging abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy, cheating, theft, wrongful restraint and confinement. Six persons, including Rhea, her brother and their father, have been named as accused.
Based on a case earlier lodged by the Patna Police, the Enforcement Directorate is probing the money laundering angle, while the Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the suspected role of drug dealers.
