Susanna Reid's jaw-dropping caffeine habit on Good Morning Britain

Susanna Reid has admitted to chugging a massive ten cups of tea while she and Piers Morgan are on air filming Good Morning Britain.

The caffeine-fuelled revelation came on Wednesday’s show when the ITV co-hosts bickered over who was to read out the words: "You're watching Good Morning Britain on ITV,” from the auto cue after an ad break.

Susanna, 50, missed her lines as she was slurping down her cuppa while Piers scoffed: “It’s her turn to say it.”

The camera showed the two presenters holding up their GMB mugs of tea, both stubbornly refusing to speak.

Piers made a savage swipe at his co-star, slamming: "It's beneath her to do the 'You're watching Good Morning Britain on ITV'."

A smug Susanna refused to read the words before Piers begrudgingly obliged.

The presenting duo’s tiff quickly turned to laughter as they became preoccupied by a conversation about tea.

Inspired by Susanna’s sipping, Piers counted how many cuppas they were sinking during filming.

The telly personality was horrified to learn he’d drunk seven cups of tea during the first few hours of the day.

But Susanna trumped her co-star by a mile as it was revealed she’d chugged a whopping ten cups of tea and coffee while cameras were rolling.

Lorraine Kelly couldn't believe the number, and jumped in to admit she'd be constantly nipping to the loo if she drank that much tea.

Susanna quipped in response: "I feel like we’ve had too much information on this particular item!"

Viewers took to Twitter to agree with Lorraine with Tim Starbuck writing: "If I drank as much tea as you guys during the show I would be wanting to pee every 5 mins.

"The tea maker must be the busiest man in ITV."
