Susanna Reid makes dig as Judge Rinder questions Prince Harry during Good Morning Britain debut

Robert Rinder has hit out at Prince Harry during his hosting debut on Good Morning Britain.

The barrister, known to viewers as Judge Rinder, joined the ITV news programme on Wednesday (November 10) as the latest guest host.

He joined good friend Susanna Reid at the helm as well as Ranvir Singh who was on hand with the latest news headlines.

Among the topics of discussion were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who appeared in a series of US interviews overnight.

Prince Harry and Meghan took aim at the British press, with the Duchess calling tabloids "toxic" and that they should come with a health warning, like cigarettes.

Harry also claimed that Twitter's CEO "never got back to me" after he predicted the Capitol riot earlier this year.

But Robert hit out at the couple's 'double standards' and questioned why the pair signed a multi-million pound deal with Netflix, after they portrayed Princess Diana in an unflattering light in The Crown.

"Prince Harry..." he started but before he continued, Susanna interrupted with what appeared to be a dig.

She said: "Don't worry. That seat is normally reserved for someone who is going to criticise me over the royals."

"Fair enough," Robert laughed as he went on: "What? I don't understand at all.

"With the greatest respect in the world, what qualifies him more than anybody else to say 'As a politically qualified person, I believe there’s going to be a riot'," the ITV regular said.

"Granted, maybe he [the CEO of Twitter] should have got back to him about the riot, but why should he have got back to him though? Because he’s Prince Harry?

"I want to be clear, for all you Twitterers out there, I like Meghan and Harry, her views might not be your artisanal cup of tea, fair enough.

"But what I don’t understand is if Harry is worried about misinformation, what about the fact that he and Meghan have taken a huge deal from Netflix – and the misinformation about their late mother Lady Diana.

"My question is, if he's worried about misinformation, what about the fact he, and Megha, have taken a huge deal from Netflix and the misinformation about his late mother, Lady Diana, and they've taken millions of pounds.

Robert Rinder joins Suanna Reid on GMB (ITV)

"How is that OK, how is that consistent, or not 'misinformation?'"

Robert's appearance in the GMB hot seat isn't a one-off and the judge will be back on December 1.

He is among two new stars to be signed up to the guest-hosting role on the ITV breakfast show alongside Ed Balls.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star will join Susanna on GMB for three episodes next week.
