Susanna Reid in special reunion during ITV Good Morning Britain's Christmas special

Susanna Reid got a special Christmas gift of her own when filming Good Morning Britain's Christmas episode as she was involved in a sweet reunion. Earlier this year the presenter of the ITV news programme traveled to Warsaw in Poland to report on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

It was there, in April, that Susanna, 51, met Amelia Anisovych, an eight-year-old girl who went viral after singing Let It Go from a Ukrainian bomb shelter. Amelia later travelled to the UK with her mother, Lilia, and appeared on the ITV show in July, where she sang the hit Frozen song in three languages.

And during GMB's Christmas Day episode, viewers will see Susanna and Amelia reunited once more. On the reunion, Susanna exclaims: "It’s such a delight to see you, I’m so thrilled to see you!"

Asked what she has been up to since they last met, Amelia speaks about having been in America and also how she has recorded a song for a top secret project. Susanna also asks Amelia what she will be doing to celebrate Ukrainian Christmas, which takes place on January 7 each year.

And Amelia says she will be "with the whole family, sitting and eating." Amelia continues: "I can’t wait to see my whole family." Amelia’s mum, Lilia, joined her on the sofa and adde: "We are going to Kiev to see my dear husband - Amelia’s father - my son, my mother and father, and my brother."

She added: "It’s very difficult. This is our favourite time of the year and when I look to prepare for Christmas, I think only about how there can’t be war or missile attacks in Ukraine at that time."

Susanna responds: "Our hearts are with you… Good luck on the journey home. We just all hope and pray that it can all come to an end as soon as possible. We hope your family stays safe."

During the 2022 Christmas Day edition og GMB, Amelia gets a bag of presents, including a headband she immediately puts on while exclaiming: "Oh, my gosh." She also receives festive video messages from celebrities including singers Adam Lambert and Tom Grennan, comedian Jason Manford, BGT's Alesha Dixon and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here stars Scarlette Douglas and Jill Scott.
