Susanna Reid hits back at sweary troll who attacked her and Piers Morgan

Susanna Reid has hit back at a 'vile' troll who took a swipe at her and Good Morning Britain co-presenter Piers Morgan.

The news anchor gave a classy response after the Twitter user said she and Piers were 'everything that's wrong in the country' in a sweary tweet.

They said: "Two of you at everything that’s wrong in the country. Pair of c****s."

Susanna shared the tweet with her 804,000 followers.

"Oooh this is a fun game. Clocks? Chairs?" she joked, poking fun at their misspelling of the insult.

And she was backed up by her fans.

"It’s such a shame when people can’t even conceal spell insults properly," said one.

"Clicks, crooks, crates, chimes, chomps - we could go on," joked another.

Fans rushed to defend the 50-year-old TV favourite who has hosted Good Morning Britain since 2014.

"No, stop it that’s absolutely vile. Very unkind," said one.

"The irony in this tweet is strong," said another.

"Question is if you saw them face to face would you still say the same#keyboardwarrior," another fan tweeted.

"Don’t understand why people are on YOUR page if they don’t like you if people have a problem why don’t they just block you," another told Susanna.

"Anyone would think people are forced to watch each morning! Do you think someone should tell them they’re allowed to change the channel," tweeted another follower.

Another fan told her: "Love you Susanna keep doing what you do."

And in a moving message another fan thanked her and Piers for delivering smiles and laughs during the pandemic.

"You two are what’s great about this country!" they praised.

"You make me smile and laugh every Monday to Wednesday when I am low and can’t leave my flat.

"Thank you for what you’ve done during the pandemic and even before it! I love you guys."
