Susanna Reid quizzed Katie Price on avoiding jail, pointing out that "things could have been very different".
The Good Morning Britain host, 51, had been speaking to the 43-year-old model in her first interview since being handed a suspended prison sentence for drink-driving.
Katie crashed her Range Rover near her home in Sussex and told police officers she had taken drugs and should not be driving.
Roadside tests showed cocaine in her system and alcohol levels almost twice the legal limit.

Katie avoided spending Christmas behind bars due to a legal loophole and was instead sentenced to a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and 100 hours of unpaid work in the community.
She admitted she feels “ashamed” about the incident in a Good Morning Britain appearance today alongside son Harvey.
Susanna pointed out: "You must be thankful that you're not in jail... you managed to avoid a jail sentence, things could have been very different."
Katie said she has since started to see a therapist every week and will continue to do so indefinitely as she looks to turn her life around.

Katie went on to suggest that "traumatic events" led to the crash last year and said she "isn't a big drinker".
She said: “The events leading up to it were really traumatic and it’s still traumatic afterwards, so I’m not ready to talk about it yet.
“I’m very good at hiding things. There’s reasons why I got in that car - my mental state.
“When I’m ready to talk about it, I’ll talk about it.”
She added: “The reasons I’m still dealing with now, but it’s a New Year. I just think people shouldn't judge people - there’s always reasons for reasons.”
