Susanna Reid confesses she will never get married after split from Steve Parish

Susanna Reid had said that she won't ever get married following her split from Steve Parish earlier this year.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 48, broke up with the Crystal Palace chairman in April but hasn't been in a relationship since.

She was previously with her ex-boyfriend and sports correspondent Dominic Cotton for 16 years, who she has sons Finn, Sam and Jack with.

Susanna and Piers had been speaking to Gemma Collins, who said that she is waiting for boyfriend James Argent to propose.

However Susanna suddenly exclaimed: "I'll never marry!"

Co-star Piers paused the interview to turn to Susanna and ask: "Are you still of the never marrying camp?"

Susanna replied: "Yes I am. Nope. No."

Gemma, who had taken entertainment editor Richard Arnold's place during his day off, reasoned: "It's not for everyone is it? It means you'll be tied to them for along time. You have to really love them."

Susanna began dating Steve Parish in autumn 2018, but less than a year later she confirmed that the relationship was over in April 2019.

The pair had reportedly been dating for a few weeks before they went public with the romance.

She said at the time: "It’s not a secret, but it’s private.

"But I'm happy. Very happy. I'm having fun. I am very, very happy at the moment, but I don't want to be married. No, no, no. I think the focus should be on the relationship."
