Susanna Reid brushes off swearing gaffe but GMB viewers point it out

Susanna Reid may have brushed off her accidental slip of the tongue on Good Morning Britain - but viewers were quick to point it out.

The ITV presenter was back on-screen on Wednesday alongside co-host Adil Ray.

They were discussing Scottish player Billy Gilmour missing out on Scotland's final Euros match on Tuesday night after his positive coronavirus test.

As a result of the positive test, which came after Scotland faced England at Wembley last Friday, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell also had to self-isolate for 10 days meaning they missed England's last group match against Czech Republic.

Gilmour's Chelsea teammates were seen hugging the player and also spent 25 minutes chatting in the tunnel after Friday's 0-0 draw.

"I really feel for Billy Gilmour because that was obviously a missed opportunity for him to have to be in isolation," Susanna said on GMB as she and Adil chatted to former Scottish footballer Pat Nevin.

But Susanna's blunder quickly saw viewer distracted as she continued: "I know yesterday we had the big row about how come he's the only Scottish player to be isolating and how come two English players have to isolate after they had a s*a* with him."

Adil nor Susanna drew attention to the swearing slip as she corrected: "A chat with him..."

Viewers, however, didn't let it go.

"No wonder they all isolated last night!" one joked.

Another said: "According to Susanna Reid on GMB 'Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell had a 20 minute S*A* with Billy Gilmour'.

But the live TV pro didn't falter and carried on with the show without another mention of the slip up.

There was also another interruption earlier in the show when Ranvir Singh was cut off due to her son ringing her from home.
