Susan Boyle would love to do a cameo on US comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The singer's meteoric rise to fame saw her become a household name on both sides of the Atlantic after leaving audiences stunned during BGT's 2008 series.
And now Brooklyn Nine-Nine has made a sly nod that apparently Susan got wind of.
Fans took to Twitter after character Charles Boyle, portrayed by Joe Lo Truglio, referenced "cousin Susan", who "didn't know she could sing until her late 40s."
And since, fans of the show, which follows a dysfunctional New York police precinct, have clamoured for Susan herself to make an appearance.
It seems that Susan is up for it, too.
"Susan didn't notice the mention at first, either," an insider told Metro, "but when it clicked, she was absolutely thrilled.
"She'd love to do a cameo if she was every offered the opportunity."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is expected to begin production for its eighth season some time soon, while Susan will be returning to the small screen for the BGT Christmas Special.
The show will see some of its most famous alums take to the stage once again in a festive setting.
And the star has even had social media ablaze as she took to TikTok over lockdown, debuting her dance moves.
Susan came second during her BGT stint, just missing out on the top spot to dance troupe Diversity.
In Simon Cowell's absence, Diversity member Ashley Banjo has stepped in.
Simon is on the mend after a nasty accident in August saw him rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
But Ashley's proved a hit with fans, and will be returning to judging duties for the Christmas special.
Diversity reunited for one of BGT's live shows, and was hit with upwards of 24,000 complaints over a Black Lives Matter-themed routine.
Ashley shrugged off the criticism and stood by the performance, as did ITV.
Ofcom, the broadcast regulator who received the complaints, opted not to investigate.
