NEW DELHI: Suryakumar Yadav, the renowned Indian cricketer, made a visit to the well-known Sri Hosa Marigudi temple located in Udupi, Karnataka, on Tuesday following the Indian team's victorious campaign at the T20 World Cup.
Accompanied by his wife, Devisha Shetty, who is originally from Mangaluru city, Suryakumar was warmly welcomed by the temple management, who honoured the couple with garlands upon their arrival.
During their visit, Suryakumar and Devisha offered their prayers to the presiding deity of the temple, goddess Sri Mariyamma Devi.
The temple authorities extended their hospitality to the couple, while the police ensured special security arrangements in the vicinity of the temple.
Sources told IANS that Suryakumar had made a pledge to offer special prayers at the Sri Hosa Marigudi temple upon the Indian team's successful performance at the T20 World Cup.
