Survivors of a horror train crash have described their terrifying experience after two trains collided.
It came as a carriage was derailed after hitting an object, and a second train then collided with it when signalling was affected.
Around 100 people were evacuated from the train on Sunday October 31, with 12 people injured, according to the Mirror.
This included a driver who was trapped in a cab before eventually being released by emergency services at the scene.
The incident occurred close to the Fisherton Tunnel between Andover and Salisbury in Wiltshire around 7pm on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses recalled panic on board as people were thrown around, smashing their heads inside a blackened carriage.

"We didn't know where we were or anything... we were all just so shocked."
A 20-year-old sailor called Morgan Harris, who was travelling back to his base in Yeovil, said he was thrown from his seat.
He explained: "It was all going along normally then, all of a sudden, there was this massive bang and all of the lights went out.
"There was sparks and flames from where we had come off the track, and there was a load of ash coming from outside.
"Our train was on its side... I was thrown out of my seat and banged against the table."
Tamar Vellacott, 25, who was trick or treating with her family nearby said: "It was a noise we've never heard before...
"My young ones started panicking thinking it was a bomb and we said maybe a lorry had crashed on the London Road and not to panic.
"There was no screeching like brakes, just a long rumbling sound like thunder hitting the railway line.
"It did spook us though, so we decided to get in our car and drive home to Laverstock where three police cars passed us at speed."

One woman described "jostling" and said possessions were being "thrown around" as people had gone forward before striking their heads.
She said the train had "slipped off the rails" before hitting a second train which she believed had been stopped under a tunnel waiting for the train to pass.
She added that the carriage ended up on a tilt before "everything went black and there were red flashes" while "people started to panic."
Another passenger said they were pulling into Salisbury station when the train felt "a bit juddery" before a "massive impact" sent her falling across a table.
She said the table came off the wall and she ended up underneath another table.
The woman described the window then being smashed before fleeing the wreckage.
She added: "Hopefully we are somewhere safe now but it was really scary."
A Network Rail spokesperson said at the time: "At around 7pm this evening, the rear carriage of the 1708 Great Western Railway service from Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads derailed after striking an object on its approach to Salisbury station.
"The derailment knocked out all of the signalling in the area. Subsequently, the 1720 South Western Railway service from London Waterloo to Honiton then collided with the Bristol train.
"There are reports of injuries and the emergency services are on site along with railway first responders."
A critical incident has been declared and the line will remain closed at the country end of Salisbury.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said a casualty centre has been set up at St Mark's Church, in St Mark's Avenue in the city.
A BTP spokesperson added: "Officers are continuing to respond to the incident at Fisherton Tunnel.
"A number of people have been injured, but thankfully no one has died."
