Like clockwork, Australian Survivor: Redemption has already clocked some rumours surrounding its cast, and honestly, I’m still processing the whole hullabaloo surrounding David Genat‘s new gig as host.
ICYMI, the Australian Survivor fanbase has been thrown into complete chaos after Network 10 confirmed that David ‘Golden God’ Genat would be replacing OG Jonathan LaPaglia as host.
“Filming is now underway in the wilds of Samoa for the 12th season of Australian Survivor, where 10 is thrilled to confirm the ‘Golden God’ — David Genat — will be at the helm, commentating every challenge and tribal council as castaways battle it out for the title of Sole Survivor in Australian Survivor: Redemption,” Network 10 shared in a statement, sending shockwaves throughout the fanbase.

But alongside the mixed bag of reactions, it appears that reality TV sleuths have sniffed out which Australian Survivors would be returning for Genat’s first season as host.
Who is on the cast of Australian Survivor: Redemption?
While we’ve got confirmation on the host, Network 10 has yet to spill the beans on who will competing for Sole Survivor on Australian Survivor‘s 12th season.
However, in a mammoth tea spill, TV Blackbox has reported that four former Australian Survivor contestants will be joining Genat in Samoa as “tribe captains”, including Australia Survivor (2016) and Australia Survivor: All Stars‘ Brooke Jowett.
Adding to the speculation of returning survivors is reality TV gossip account @realitytv_fan, who claimed that Simon Mee (from Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn and Australian Survivor: Heroes V Villains), Harry Hills (from Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders and Australian Survivor: All Stars) and Mark Warnock (Australian Survivor: Titans V Rebels) will also be jumping back on for the ride.

Again, we’ve yet to sea any ~legit~ tea on the Australian Survivor: Redemption cast, so please take this goss with a grain of salt.
At the time of writing, Network 10 also hasn’t revealed exactly when this new era of Australia Survivor will air, but has confirmed that it will be coming out sometime in 2026.
In a recent IG post, Genat himself confirmed that filming has begun!

“We are on!!! @survivorau REDEMPTION is underway!! It’s gonna be a banger!!! Big love to you all from Samoa,” Genat wrote alongside a video of him roaming around the set.
While I am keen for Australian Survivor: Redemption, I think I will deeply marinade myself in Survivor: Australia V World knowing it’s JLP’s last season as host.
It’ll be interesting to see what flare Genat brings to table as snuffs out the torches of his former peers.
