With Bonfire Night coming up this Friday, people across the UK will be preparing to celebrate in the traditional spectacular fashion.
But those celebrations will at least be partially muted in Greater Manchester this year, with Manchester city council announcing that they will not be putting on any displays due to the costs of Covid restrictions.
There have also already been incidents of trouble with fireworks this year after residents of Brinnington, Stockport, saw large scale anti-social behaviour on Halloween (31st October).
And while the council displays have been cancelled, there are apparently no extra restrictions on private displays organised by others.
With these still set to go ahead, we want to know what you think about fireworks and their general safety, as well as potential harm to pets.
Figures from a study by the RSPCA state that 62% of dogs and 54% of cats show distress during fireworks.
There are also the potential dangers to people that fireworks can pose, with statistics in 2019 (the last pre-Covid fireworks display) showing there had been almost 1,000 hospital admissions over the previous five years relating to the discharge of a firework.
