There is a secret Emmerdale location that is not actually part of the main set.
Emmerdale is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with explosive storylines and heart-wrenching moments over the next few weeks. During its incredible run, the show has touched on many topics including murder, storms and affairs.
To mark their incredible milestone, The ECHO was invited to visit the TV set that sits in the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire countryside. Fans of the soap might be interested to know there is one significant location that is not near the Woolpack but is tucked away in a smaller, unknown area.

Before entering the area, visitors must go through several layers of security but when they do, there's a stop-off just before you reach Emmerdale village. On the outskirts of the village sits a fully built activity centre hidden amongst all of the towering trees which has been part of the scenes on the show for three years.
The fictional Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits (Hop) was set up by Emmerdale characters Kim Tate, Jai Sharma and Al Chapman in 2019 after the candy factory was devastated by a fire in the soap.
Hop officially opened its doors in 2020 with a disastrous welcome that saw the murder of Graham Foster on the premises. Since then, the area has played host to some of the show's most dramatic moments including the infamous bridge scene where Meena pushes Leanna off the bridge.
