Surfer bitten by shark in southwest WA

A woman has been bitten on the foot by a shark while surfing off the southwest coast of WA. (AAP)

A surfer has been bitten by a shark in the ocean off Gracetown, on Western Australia's southwest coast.

The woman was bitten on the foot at the North Point surf spot about 10:30am (WST) on Saturday.

WA's St John Ambulance said she was taken to Margaret River hospital, but her injuries were not serious.
