When they were passing on the busy Jilani bridge, a car hit his bike from behind and all five of them fell on the road. Before they could recover and realize anything, four people got down from the car and stabbed him the in back with a knife.

His daughters are aged 10 years, four years and the youngest one being just two-and-a-half-years.
Rander police were in the process of registering a complaint of murder. “Primary investigation suggests that Pathan was killed due to some personal rivalry. The family members have given us names of four suspects,” said an official.
Meanwhile, additional commissioner of police Sharad Singhal addressed a press conference on Sunday stating that number of murders had decreased in the city.
“In January 2022, only two murder cases were registered in Surat city as compared to 12 in January 2021. In February, six murder offences have been lodged,” he said.
