Surat: Car rams into tree near Aangaldhara village; three dead, two injured

SURAT: Three persons died when a car they were travelling in crashed into a tree near Angaldhara village of Mahuva taluka in Surat district early on Monday. Total five persons were in the car and two suffered severe injuries but were declared stable by the doctor.

Nilkamal Patel, Yogesh Patel and Pinal Ahir died in the accident while Nilesh Patel and Parimal Patel survived with injuries.

The five friends from different villages met each other in Bhinar village and were going to Tarkani village to participate in a marriage function when the driver lost control over the vehicle and crashed into a tree on the side of the road. From the crash, police suspect the car must be over 80 kmph.

Police registered a complaint of one of the two survivors Nilesh, a daily wage worker and resident of Lakhawadi village of Navsari. On Sunday night his friend Nilkamal had called him and asked to accompany to attend a marriage function. Later Nilkamal and Yogesh came to pick him up and the trio went to Bhinar in Nilkamal's car.

From Bhinar they picked up Parimal and Pinal, both residents of Fadvel village of Navsari.

The group then headed to Tarkani and Nilkamal was driving the car. At around 1:15 am on Monday, the driver lost control over the car and it crashed in a tree. Nilkamal and Yogesh died on the spot while Pinal was declared brought dead by an on duty doctor of Aalipore government hospital. Nilesh and Parimal were rescued and taken to the hospital with serious injuries where they are under treatment. An offense has been registered against deceased Nilkamal and started further investigation.
