NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday affirmed the Center's authority to prolong the tenure of Delhi chief secretary Naresh Kumar by six months.
The court has ruled that the Center is empowered to extend the tenure of the chief secretary, especially when dealing with matters such as police, land, and public order that fall beyond the purview of the Delhi government.
