Supreme Court orders transfer of Mukhtar Ansari to jail in UP from Punjab

New Delhi: Supreme Court ordered on Friday transfer of gangster-turned-politican Mukhtar Ansari to jail in Uttar Pradesh from Punjab within two weeks, to face trials there.

The Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and R Subhash Reddy directed that Ansari should be handed to Uttar Pradesh within two weeks and he shall be lodged in Banda jail.
