Supporters revel in Nottingham Forest's demolition of Birmingham City

Sabri Lamouchi described Nottingham Forest’s home demolition job of Birmingham City as perfect, and his supporters wholeheartedly agreed.

Goals from Joe Lolley, Lewis Grabban and Michael Dawson sealed the rout, though in truth it was a 3-0 scoreline which flattered the sorry Blues.

The Reds, who had lost one and drawn one in their opening two Championship games set about Pep Clotet’s Blues from the opening minute and were rewarded when Aston Villa fan and former St Andrew’s youngster Lolley crashed in a drive past Lee Camp 15 minutes in.

Lolley then turned provider just seven minutes later for Lewis Grabban to head back across Camp and into the net to double the Reds’ deserved lead.

Forest then had to patient before Michael Dawson notched his first goal for the club in 15 years with 25 minutes left from Tiago Silva’s pinpoint delivery.

It could and should have been much more with Grabban, Samba Sow and Sammy Ameobi all passing up good chances to add yet more gloss to the scoreline.

As it was, Lamouchi’s men comfortably sealed their first Championship win of the new season and supporters were only too happy to share their joy on social media…
