Supporters losing patience with Jesse Marsch after Fulham loss lands Leeds United in drop zone

Leeds United have dropped into the relegation zone after Fulham came from behind to win 3-2 at Elland Road. Chants of 'sack the board' echoed around the stands, as the Whites succumbed to a fourth straight defeat and extended their winless run to eight games.

Rodrigo opened the scoring with a header at the back post inside 20 minutes, but their lead lasted just six minutes after Aleksander Mitrovic headed Andreas Pereira's corner beyond Illan Meslier.

Fulham took the lead in the 74th minute after Bobby Decordova-Reid was left completely unmarked to send Pereira's cross into the far corner with a glancing header. Fulham killed the game as a contest in the 83rd minute when Harrison Reid charged into the box to square for Willian to convert a tap-in from close-range.

Crysencio Summerville reduced the deficit in the dying embers with his first Leeds goal, but Leicester's 4-0 victory at Wolves has left Leeds two points adrift of safety in 18th place. Here's how Leeds supporters have reacted to the defeat on social media.

@B_JMills Marsch out. Board out.

@11tomcull Has he gone yet?

@DeeMcNutty Jesse deserves the sack, but the players and board share an equal amount of blame.

@BenLufcCawley Criminal summer, needed a striker and LB. Redeem this by replacing the manager with a proven coach. These no marks can't cope. Learn lessons, Bielsa was worshipped here.

@DannyWright82 Easiest fixture list out of any team. Bottom 3 after 11 games. Simply not good enough. If only we had invested in another main striker in the last 3 seasons.

@chris4465 I like Jesse as a guy but he's got to go. It's just not happening for him. His no width style of play is alien to his predecessor and the players are forcing to try to make it work but it's just not. There's no joy here but we need a strong aggressive character to come in.

@Pid89Stu Doesn't matter who the next manager is if we don't sign a top quality finisher! How has Gnonto not got any game time? Good enough for Italy but not Leeds.

@LufcTucku Jesse Marsch thanks for your efforts last season, but your time is over.

@TheGarthBerg Yeah I think that's Jesse gone now. Tried his best but ultimately his tactics didn't work. The board/Orta have to take a huge share of the blame too. They didn't recruit a goal scorer or a decent left-back and those positions have cost us in most games.

@beebo1969 Marsch will go and rightly so but the owner and board are the ones who should be held accountable. No quality LB, no quality striker and no quality CB in the summer was down to them. Shocking.

@raj_mot_mb Sacking Jesse would be a huge mistake. Board didn't sign a left-back and a striker. Bamford missed chances, our defenders made errors. Coach can't do much there. No coach can turn this team around and Jesse should stay until after January at least. If he goes, we will probably be relegated.

@Damien_Cms A difficult result to take after taking the lead in the game. Two teams with differing confidence levels after recent results. Most pressure on us going into this game and the pressure tolled in the end. Need to take the positives and move on to the next one.
