Support the NHS with bright bracelets

Need a cute and kitsch gift for someone with a lockdown birthday or anniversary?

Hobbyist jewellery designer Amelia Brooks is on furlough from her normal 9 to 5, so is throwing her surplus spare time into making personalised bracelets. They’re £5 each, with all the money going to NHS Charities Together.

“Once someone places an order I send them an email with a link to the JustGiving page where they donate their £5 per bracelet,” Brooks explains. Though, she’s delighted to say, “some people have been extremely generous and have donated more”.

They’re all made with rainbow-coloured acrylic beads on a clear elastic thread, but the selection is up to you, so go wild.

For inspiration, check out previous designs on the Instagram account. Go for your name (in case lockdown has rendered your brain so soupy you can’t remember it), something soothing (try “calm”), or a call to action (we like “disco”).

To order yours, email footlooseandfurloughed@gmail.com, and make a donation via the JustGiving page.
